Volunteer Work Makes Others And Yourself Feel Good1 min read
Saturday, November 16th some of the Simons Bitzer & Associates team volunteered at the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation. We delivered gift bags to the residents apartments, painted two of the apartments, carried in and ate lunch with several of the staff and residents. Prior to this work day, we collected canned goods and personal hygiene items for the homeless veterans. The food pantry on-site is used by the residents at HVAF and homeless veterans in the Indianapolis area. The time we spent was valuable to us and to those there that day. It is so nice to connect with those you do not get to connect with normally. We hope we gave them a bit of a bright spot in their day. As for our team, we all agreed we benefitted as much as anyone.
