Overall Summary of Position
As the Tax Department Manager, you will help lead our tax department, manage client relationships, oversee workflow and deadlines, review and sign off on tax returns, and develop the professionals around you. You’ll work closely with firm leadership, have a voice in the direction of the tax practice, and have the opportunity to build something—not simply manage a book of tax returns.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Tax Department, overseeing workload, priorities, deadlines, and resources while proactively addressing capacity and workflow issues to ensure timely and efficient completion of client work.
- Review and sign off on business, individual, fiduciary/trust, and other tax returns, prepared by the Tax Department, ensuring accuracy, completeness, technical compliance, and adherence to firm standards.
- Provide guidance to staff on complex tax issues and return preparation questions.
- Research federal, state, and local tax issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Review tax planning opportunities and assist clients in implementing appropriate strategies.
- Assist with complex tax engagements, special projects, IRS and state tax matters, and other technical assignments as needed.
- Develop relationships and provide tax guidance to our more complex tax clients including business and ultra-high net worth families
And so, what does it take to be part of our team? A CPA with 6-7 years of experience with public accounting experience desired. This candidate must also be highly proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office along with having the ability to adapt to other accounting systems.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $120,000 + based on experience, CPA certification, and technical expertise. We reward talent and are committed to offering competitive compensation for exceptional candidates.
Bonus Eligibility: Performance-based bonuses.
