Senior Tax Accountant

Overall Summary of Position

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with clients, solve meaningful business challenges. We offer the variety and professional opportunities of a larger firm while providing the personal relationships and collaborative environment of a smaller team.

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career and become a trusted resource to both our clients and our team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and/or take part in ongoing tax work for clients in various industries and/or ultra-high net worth families
  • Take primary responsibility for reviewing individual, business, trust, nonprofit, gift, and other tax returns (prepare some of the more complex returns as needed).
  • Work with the firm’s clients on tax projections and estimated tax payment calculations throughout the year.
  • Work with taxing agencies on the resolution of tax items and as the intermediary on tax audits.
  • Research and analyze accounting and tax issues, evaluate the potential impact on clients, and provide thoughtful, practical recommendations that address both compliance requirements and tax planning opportunities.
  • Be proactive with providing tax saving strategies to our clients.
  • Keep abreast of new tax laws and regulations and oversee the appropriate planning for our clients and implementation of these items.

Also, as a Senior Tax Accountant, you would be a key part of employee development and work with the staff by reviewing their work and providing feedback and coaching, as necessary.

And so, what does it take to be part of our team? A CPA with 3-6 years of experience with public accounting experience desired. This candidate must also be highly proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office along with having the ability to adapt to other accounting systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $90,000+ based on experience, CPA certification, and technical expertise. We reward talent and are committed to offering competitive compensation for exceptional candidates.

Bonus Eligibility: Performance-based bonuses.
