2015 Simons Bitzer Charity Contest Winner Announced1 min read
23 different charities were nominated for the 2015 Simons Bitzer & Associates Charity Contest.
In evaluating and choosing our winner, we looked for a program where we could help in multiple ways. We did not want to just write a check, but we wanted to offer ourselves, our time and our talents to make a difference within the selected organization. The list of nominations was narrowed down to 7 charities and upon reviewing each of the applications the Simons Bitzer team members each voted on their top 2 organizations. We tallied the votes and determined our winner. Although we will primarily serve the winning organization during the year, we do plan to do a project with a few of the other charities that were nominated.
Additionally, we will focus on recording activities while serving the winning organization and submit a video to another contest called the Super Service Challenge. Thousands of dollars will be awarded to charities that are submitted in this nation-wide competition. Two years ago our winner, Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation, won an additional $1,000 from the Super Service Challenge that they were able to use in any way they chose. You may want to consider participating in the Super Service Challenge for your charity nominee. For more details visit their website at www.superservicechallenge.com.
