Kathy Hopkins, Manager
Kathy works with our customers in a variety of roles including Chief Financial Officer, Controller and Consultant. She has an extensive list of services to offer including budget comparison, reporting and analysis, cash flow projections, financial analysis, compilations, reviews, audit preparation and management, strategic planning, QuickBooks training and support and more. In a consulting role she often looks at culture, competition and market place changes, and government regulation compliance.
Kathy has been an accounting professional since 1985. Prior to joining Simons Bitzer, she served as the Accounting Controller for two large commercial construction companies for a combined total of 20 years. Her responsibilities there included: directing strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, business analysis and financial reporting. She has also served as both member and officer on numerous state and national boards of directors for nonprofit organizations including: Associated Builders & Contractors, National Center of Construction Education and Research, The Indianapolis Construction Alliance, The Indianapolis Museum of Art and Indianapolis 500 Festival Associates. She was elected with distinction as the first female president of Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana and held the office of Treasurer for four years, overseeing the accounting staff and financial reporting for the organization.
In addition, Kathy has served as a facilitator and leader for strategic business planning sessions and seminars on a variety of business and software topics.
